Studio Rua Jewellery
Exclusively for TOAST, Studio Rua founder Ruth Leach has created a series of pieces inspired by the gardens at Charleston, the modernist home and studio of the painters Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. Each is slightly unique and handcrafted using lost wax casting; this process leaves subtle fingerprint impressions, traces of the movements of the maker’s hands.
Studio Rua founder Ruth Leach creates these earrings exclusively for TOAST using lost wax casting – a time-old technique where metal is poured into a mould made from the impression of a wax model. This process leaves subtle fingerprint impressions, traces of the movements of the maker’s hands. Crafted from recycled sterling silver with sterling silver silver post-back fastenings.
