Lindey Tydeman Jewellery
Jeweller Lindey Tydeman uses electroforming to create her collections, a technique that allows her to grow precious metals on organic forms, revealing contrasts in texture and tone. Lindey uses a blend of recycled sterling silver, copper, and gold. Inspired by the sea, her textural surfaces are reminiscent of coral, barnacles and oceanic crust.
Stud earrings made from a blend of precious metals by Lindey Tydeman, a TOAST New Maker 2025. These hand-forged studs have a gentle, organic form, with copper and red gold dots placed on the softly textured surface. Crafted with a sterling silver pin and back. Made from fine silver, recycled sterling silver, copper, and 9ct red gold, sourced from single-mined origin.
Lindey draws on her previous career in knitted textiles to inform her practice, where handcraft and material culture play an essential role in her work. Her pieces are handmade, combining precious metals and processes such as elecroforming for contrasting forms of colour and texture.

Details
Fine silver, recycled sterling silver, copper, 9ct red gold (single mined origin). The stud is made with fine silver which won't tarnish - a simple bath of warm, soapy water with a soft brush will suffice. Dry with a soft, lint free cloth. The copper layer will naturally oxidise creating a rich dark colour. When the object is cleaned, you may find the copper returning to a bright salmon colour, which will then begin to oxidise over time..
Made in the United Kingdom.
8mm x 9mm approx.
Due to the handmade nature of this item, each piece is unique and natural variations are to be expected.

Forming New Surfaces
Lindey Tydeman draws on a background in knitted textiles to inform her jewellery practice, where handcraft and material culture are central to her process. Based in the UK, Lindey creates one-of-a-kind pieces using electroforming, a technique that allows her to grow layers of precious metal over organic forms, building intricate surfaces that reveal contrasts in texture and tone.
Favouring handheld tools over mechanised equipment, Lindey works slowly and intuitively. This measured pace gives her a sense of closeness to the piece as it takes shape. Her inspiration often comes from the sea, realised in the reticulated, bubbled textures she coaxes from the metal, reminiscent of coral, barnacles, and oceanic crust.
Her collection for TOAST is made of sculptural yet wearable pieces, each with a quiet sense of transformation - materials grown and shaped over time through careful attention and elemental processes.
